Process with Purpose

Therapy for Adults

"Imperfection is not our personal problem - it is a natural part of existing.”  – Tara Brach, Radical Acceptance

I hold a profound belief in the innate ability of individuals to develop and mature, to define who they are, to discover their purpose and to live rich meaningful lives, while accepting that each person has unmet needs, distinct struggles, and difficult life circumstances that may arise. Life’s challenges can create obstacles to personal growth, positive self-evaluation, significantly impact well-being, and even make daily functioning feel like a struggle. At times, it can become difficult to see your way through the day-to-day stresses.

“The only journey is the one within.”  - Rainer Maria Rilke

I understand therapy as a highly personal journey supported by a caring, collaborative relationship. I start with the premise that you have unique gifts, abilities, and skills available to you. By providing a safe and healing environment, I help create optimal conditions which will allow you to work through your difficulties, to heal, to accept, and to attach securely to yourself and others, even to grow and thrive.

I see the role of therapist as two-fold. First, it is to help you see and “be” with what is - to support you, and accept and validate your experience – right now, in the present moment. Second, it is to assist you in discovering new strengths, developing skills and competencies, and finding ways to handle difficulties that promote self-understanding and self-acceptance, emotional regulation, and well-being. I integrate complementary and effective therapies and strategies to offer a highly personalized approach to individual therapy. I bring my full commitment, presence, compassion, experience, and training to the support of your goals for well-being, while creating a safe experience in which to explore and work together to address life’s challenges and difficulties.
